AUDITIONS

Workshop Auditions will take place on 13^th March, and individual auditions on 20^th March during class.

WHAT HAPPENS?

At a workshop audition, we set tasks and do activities based around the concept of the show. Its fun, so don’t worry. We will take notes and write ideas down that people come up with. It’s a chance for us to see you as characters working together.

At the individual auditions, you will choose 1 character to audition for and perform the prepared/required pieces individually and in turn, to the audition panel. Again, just relax its only us! When the auditions are over you may be called back in to read/sing again, or to even read for a different character. 

CAST LIST

Below are the basic characters at the moment, and these names may change and new characters may be added. Beside each character is a description of who they are, and what kind of things they will do. It also tells you what to prepare for the audition. In addition, there will be LOADS of new characters added and EVERYONE will have a part. The script has not even been written yet.

KATIE/ALFIE: The Leading Role. This character is in a lot of the scenes, and is the person who finds their life has become a movie. Solo Song, and a duet dance and lots of acting.

AUDITION PIECES REQUIRED: Own Monologue of your choice, plus song “Out Here On My Own” plus solo dance to music of your choice.

REBECCA/RYAN: The Best Friend of the Leading Role. Doesn’t believe anything that Katie/Alfie says, and finds it funny. Eventually realises its true. Lots of Drama, comedy role.

AUDITION PIECE REQUIRED: Comedy Monologue of your choice

LOUISE/LUKE: The Best Friend of The Leading Role. Really supportive and understanding, sweet character. Serious scenes as has some trouble.

AUDITION PIECE REQUIRED: Serious Monologue of Your Choice

“BUSTA”: The character who Guides Katie/Alfie around his/her day, and appears to help her/him. Solo Song, big comedy role, and loud.

AUDITION PIECE REQUIRED: Comedy Monologue of your choice, plus song “Ghostbusters”

“THE DENTIST”: Comedy role with solo comedy song. Really funny and entertaining and eccentric.

AUDITION PIECE REQUIRED: Comedy Monologue of your choice, plus song “Dentist” (little shop of horrors)

“THE DIRECTOR” Put simply….a nasty piece of work. Lots of drama, and a solo dance.

AUDITION PIECES REQUIRED: Serious Monologue of your choice, solo dance to music of your choice. Bear the character in mind when picking music.
